Capacity Building Program on Project and Financial Management Concludes Successfully at IIM Mumbai

In a significant stride towards enhancing the capabilities of the State Council of Educational Research and Training (SCERT) and District Institutes of Education and Training (DIETs), Uttarakhand Planning Team, a comprehensive capacity-building program on project management and financial management was successfully concluded at the Indian Institute of Management (IIM) Mumbai.

The program, held from 08/01/2024 to 12/01/2024, was designed to impart essential concepts of project and financial management to the planning team, providing them with valuable insights into project planning, implementation, and physical and financial management. 

Led by Bandana Garbyal, the Director of Academic Research and Training for Uttarakhand, and Kanchan Devradi, the Joint Director of Program and Monitoring at SCERT Uttarakhand, the training aimed to equip the team with effective tools and techniques for project and financial management. The program emphasized the need for a holistic approach to ensure the successful execution of project plans.

Learning Objectives Achieved:

Conceptual Understanding: The program successfully imparted a conceptual understanding of project and financial management, ensuring that the SCERT and DIETs Planning Team has a strong foundation in these key areas.

Insightful Exploration: Participants gained insights into the intricacies of project planning, implementation, and the integration of physical and financial aspects in effective management.

Practical Tools and Techniques: The training equipped the planning team with practical tools and techniques crucial for successful project and financial management in the educational context.

Leadership Role Acknowledged: The training program was attended by key leaders, including Bandana Garbyal and Kanchan Devradi, who played pivotal roles in guiding the team through the sessions. Interactive discussions allowed the leaders to share their insights and experiences, enriching the learning experience for all participants.

Closing Ceremony: The program concluded with a closing ceremony on January 12, 2024, at IIM Mumbai. During the ceremony, participants expressed their gratitude for the valuable knowledge gained and the interactive nature of the sessions.

In her closing remarks, Bandana Garbyal commended the participants for their active engagement and emphasized the importance of applying the newly acquired skills to further strengthen educational initiatives in Uttarakhand.

The success of this capacity-building program marks a significant step towards enhancing the capabilities of the SCERT and DIETs Planning Team, ensuring they are well-equipped to tackle the challenges and opportunities in the dynamic field of education.

At the fifth day of workshop session was on Value based education and ethics followed by valedictory session for all participants at IIM Mumbai.
