Empowering Educators Through Advanced Data Analysis: SCERT Organizes SPSS Workshop

 

In a step towards enhancing the quality of education research, the State Council of Educational Research and Training (SCERT) has taken an innovative initiative to strengthen data analysis skills among educators and researchers. Recognizing the complexity and importance of research work in ensuring effective education systems, SCERT's Department of Planning and Monitoring recently organized a four-day refresher workshop on the use of SPSS (Statistical Package for the Social Sciences) in research and data analysis.

Workshop Objectives

  • Develop practical expertise in descriptive and inferential statistics through SPSS.

The workshop featured an esteemed panel of experts with impressive credentials and diverse research experience:

  1. Dr. Santwana G. Mishra An Associate Professor at NIEPA and Faculty-in-Charge for NCSL, Dr. Mishra has over 50 research publications in national and international journals. With expertise in educational psychology and planning, she has been instrumental in shaping global educational discourses, contributing her insights at forums in the US, UK, Japan, and Sri Lanka.

  2. Dr. Rajendra Prasad As an Associate Professor at the Central Institute of Education, University of Delhi, Dr. Prasad specializes in quantitative research and inclusive education. He has contributed to international research initiatives and is an active participant in academic collaborations worldwide.

  3. Dr. Ananthula Raghu Dr. Raghu, an Assistant Professor at the University of Delhi, has extensive expertise in teacher education, ICT in education, and continuous evaluation methods. His contributions include research on psychological competencies and scholarly works in UGC CARE-listed journals.
