Education Minister Dr. Dhan Singh Rawat Inaugurates IT Lab as E-Learning Center at SCERT Uttarakhand

 

In a significant step towards strengthening technology-enabled education, Education Minister Dr. Dhan Singh Rawat inaugurated the newly developed IT Lab at SCERT Uttarakhand. This state-of-the-art e-learning center has been established in joint collaboration with the Information Technology Development Agency (ITDA) and SCERT, aiming to enhance digital skills and IT literacy among teachers across the state.

The event was graced by esteemed dignitaries, including Dr Mukul K Sati, Director of Secondary Education, Ajay Naudiyal Director of Elementary Education; Joint Director Padmendra Saklani; and MLA Umesh Sharma Kau. Pradeep Kumar Rawat, Additional Director of SCERT, extended a warm welcome to the Education Minister, while Additional Director Pradeep Rawat welcomed all officials and guests. Assistant Director Dr. K. N. Bijalwan played a pivotal role in anchoring the event and formally welcoming the attendees.

A total of 35 teachers from different parts of Uttarakhand were present at the occasion. They were jointly addressed by the Education Minister, who emphasized the importance of integrating modern technology into the teaching-learning process. He urged teachers and education officers to work collaboratively towards advancing technology-enabled education not only within the state but also on a global scale.

Virendra Chauhan, a representative from ITDA, provided an insightful briefing on the IT Lab’s infrastructure and capabilities. The Ramesh Badoni IT department faculty and program in-charge have meticulously designed a comprehensive six-day training program to equip teachers with essential digital skills, as discussed during the meet.


In his address, Dr. Dhan Singh Rawat encouraged all stakeholders to actively participate in transforming the education landscape by leveraging digital tools and innovative teaching methodologies. The newly inaugurated IT Lab stands as a milestone in Uttarakhand’s journey toward digital empowerment in education, fostering an environment where teachers can harness technology for enhanced learning experiences.

The inauguration of the IT Lab at SCERT Uttarakhand marks a crucial step in aligning the state’s education system with the demands of the 21st century, ensuring that teachers are well-equipped to integrate technology into their teaching practices effectively.
