National Leadership Conference on AI in Education: Agastya International Foundation in collaboration with Infosys India


The National Leadership Conference on AI in Education, organized by the Aagastya International Foundation at Agastya's creativity campus in Kuppam, Hyderabad, Andhra Pradesh, was a noteworthy event that brought together key figures in education, technology, and leadership. The conference aimed to address concerns, challenges, and opportunities related to the integration of AI in education, with a focus on the perspectives of students, teachers, and AI.


The participation of the Director of of Academic, Research and Training, Bandana Garbyal, and IT faculty Ramesh Badoni from the State Council of Educational Research and Training (SCERT) Uttarakhand, added significant value to the National Leadership Conference on AI in Education. Their active involvement in the discussion forum focused on technology-enabled classrooms and AI interventions in teaching-learning processes.

The inauguration of the event was conducted by esteemed personalities such as Dr. V K Atray, Padma Vibhushan, Ram Ji Raghwan, Founder of Agastya Foundation, and renowned educationist Dr. Gopinath. The conference also featured the well-known actress Subhashini as the anchor and facilitator.

Mr. Ananath, the program coordinator, showcased a film screening on the work of the Agastya Foundation, providing an overview of the creativity campus and the facilities available. Nitin Desai, CEO of Navam and former Head of Agastya, focused on setting the context of the conference, leading a warm session along with grounding sessions.

Following a tea break, Dr. Atray, Ram Ji Raghwan, and Dr. Gopinath engaged in a talk show discussing emerging trends in technology and the extension of AI in education. After lunch, the program continued with sessions, group sharing, a panel discussion, and a Q&A session aimed at demystifying AI.

Dr. Gopinath conducted a reflective talk, and a creative circle talk featured various speakers such as Anand Rangrajan from Google Group, Nagraja from Infosys, and CK Manjunath from SMVITM. An open discussion forum provided an opportunity for participants, including educationists and officers from different organizations, and state and central bodies heading education in India and worldwide, to share insights.

In the evening session, a Veena concert led by Vidushi Sujata Thiyarajan and Jagdeesha Babu with melodious instrumental play added a soothing and enjoyable touch to the conference. The musical interlude also served as a networking opportunity for participants, fostering connections and collaboration among the diverse groups gathered for the event. Overall, the program successfully addressed key issues in AI in education while providing a platform for meaningful discussions and networking.
