A three-day Tool Development Workshop under the National Population Education Programme 2024-25 began at SCERT Uttarakhand, Dehradun from 23rd September to 25th September 2024. The workshop focuses on the topic, "A Study of Dropout Rate of Girl Students and their Socio-Emotional Aspects at the Secondary Stage in Haridwar District."
SCERT, Additional Director Asha Rani Painuily open the workshop and the program is coordinated by Neelam Panwar, with participation from institutions such as DIET Uttarkashi, GGIC Sandhipur, Haridwar, and GIC Bangiyal, Tehri Garhwal. Faculty members from SCERT Uttarakhand are also part of this significant initiative.
Dr. K. N. Bijalwan, Assistant Director of SCERT, formally inaugurated the workshop, setting the tone for the discussions and activities. In her message, Bandana Garbyal, Director of Academic Research and Training, encouraged participants to ensure the program's success. The workshop also received well-wishes from Additional Director Ajay Naudiyal and Asha Rani Painuily , who expressed their hopes for fruitful outcomes.
This workshop aims to develop tools and methodologies to better understand the factors contributing to girl students' dropout rates and their socio-emotional challenges, in line with the broader goals of the National Population Education Programme.
