CLAP Van Progress Report for September 2024

The CLAP Van initiative, equipped with 120 Chromebooks and a wealth of educational content, has made significant strides in Dehradun district this September. This mobile educational unit provides students from elementary to high school the opportunity for hands-on learning, with a focus on lesson assessments and Gaming-based learning materials. The initiative aims to enhance digital literacy and educational engagement across the state.

Led by Ashok Kathait, a technical and support expert from the HP-SARD group, the project is designed to offer students an immersive educational experience. Kathait's team ensures that the van is fully equipped and operational as it moves through different schools in Uttarakhand.

Currently stationed in Dehradun, the CLAP Van has already visited multiple schools, providing real-time learning experiences to hundreds of students. The IT Department of SCERT Uttarakhand, coordinated by Ramesh Badoni, is overseeing the technical aspects of the project and tracking its impact on the ground.

Director of Academic Research and Training, Bandana Garbyal, has requested a detailed progress report for September, emphasizing the need for continuous field inspections to monitor the impact of the initiative on student performance. She highlighted that these observations will be crucial in assessing the overall success of the program.

In addition, Ajay Naudiyal, Additional Director of SCERT Uttarakhand, has recommended the formation of a dedicated team to regularly update the progress of schools that have been visited by the CLAP Van. This team will be responsible for collecting data on student performance, ensuring that the initiative meets its educational goals.

As the CLAP Van continues its journey through Uttarakhand, it promises to bring transformative changes to the digital education landscape, offering students the tools they need to excel in the 21st century.
