Celebrating Innovation and Learning: Closing Day Reflections of SCERT’s Workshop on Content Creation for DIKSHA & PM eVIDYA

As the 6-day workshop on Content Creation and Educational Videos for DIKSHA & PM eVIDYA concluded on April 20, 2025, a wave of inspiration and renewed commitment to digital education swept through the SCERT IT Department, Uttarakhand. The event brought together passionate educators and experts to co-create, learn, and shape the future of classroom learning through innovative digital content.

Initiative with Productivity into Digital Content Creation

Organised by the State Council of Educational Research and Training (SCERT) Uttarakhand, the workshop was a comprehensive program focusing on:

  • Script writing based on 6E learning models

  • Educational video creation for platform-based learning

  • Ethical and technological aspects of digital content

  • Strategies for enhancing student engagement through multimedia

The workshop was highly interactive, with participants actively engaged in creating and presenting their content. During the valedictory session, SMEs reflected on their journey, highlighting their takeaways and requesting more such opportunities for upskilling.

Honoring the Presence of Eminent Educators

Several respected educators enriched the workshop with their insights and presence:

  • Jagdamba Dobhal and Daulat Gusain, both National Awardee Teachers, inspired participants with their creative strategies and commitment to quality education.

  • Prakash Chandra Upadhyay, a State Awardee Teacher, praised the initiative and spoke about the critical role such programs play in bridging the gap between traditional and digital classrooms.

Strong Technical Guidance

The seamless integration of pedagogy and technology was made possible by:

  • Rajmohan Rawat, the lead resource person, who delivered hands-on sessions on scripting, video editing, and tech-enabled teaching.

  • Ramesh Badoni, IT Faculty at SCERT, who provided valuable inputs on content ethics, platform usage, and the fundamental pillars of digital content creation.

Insights from Key Coordinators

  • Pushp Aswal, PM eVIDYA Coordinator, focused on the promotion and dissemination of the created content, emphasizing its reach in schools and classrooms across the state.

  • S.P. Verma, DIKSHA Coordinator, ensured the workshop ran smoothly and concluded with a celebratory tone, setting the stage for future initiatives.

  • Shilp and her team from ITDA CLAC supported in all respects at system site along with coordinators

Padmendra Saklani, Additional Director of SCERT, shared a message of encouragement, highlighting the role of digital content in achieving quality and inclusive education.
Dr. K.N. Bijalwan, Assistant Director, reiterated thatquality e-content remains a top priority, and SCERT is committed to providing the tools and support needed to achieve this mission.”

In a sound message, the Director of Academic Research and Training, Bandana Garbyal, emphasised:

“Content writing for school children must be rooted in their real needs and learning levels. It is not just about information delivery but creating experiences that spark curiosity, joy, and understanding. Every piece of content should lead to meaningful learning. This workshop is a step in that direction—and many more should follow.”

Energized Conclusion and the Road Ahead

The concluding session turned into a showcase of creativity and collaborative learning. SMEs shared their completed scripts, sample video content, and feedback—making the space lively, constructive, and forward-looking. Several participants also left questions and suggestions, demonstrating an eagerness for ongoing improvement and engagement.

With this successful workshop, SCERT Uttarakhand continues to be a driving force in the digital transformation of education, equipping educators to become creators and curators of high-quality, inclusive, and engaging learning materials.
