The DIKSHA Key Statistics report (January 2026) provides a clear picture of how digital learning platforms are being used across Indian states. This blog highlights the key trends and compares Uttarakhand’s performance with other states, especially in terms of user engagement and daily activity.
Overall DIKSHA Usage Snapshot
Over the last seven days, DIKSHA recorded strong and consistent user activity, with daily active users ranging between around 81,000 to 90,000 nationwide. On average, users spent 38–43 minutes per day, viewing 9–10 contents, indicating steady engagement with digital learning materials.
Looking at the last 13 months, DIKSHA shows seasonal fluctuations in usage, with peaks during academic months and noticeable dips during vacation periods. This pattern is common across most states and reflects academic calendar alignment.

State-wise Comparison: Where Does Uttarakhand Stand?
In December 2025, Uttarakhand recorded an average of around 890 daily active users, placing it among the top-performing mid-sized states on DIKSHA.
Comparison with High-Performing States
Large states such as Madhya Pradesh (3975), Uttar Pradesh (2381), and Bihar (1754) lead the chart. Larger student and teacher populations account for their expected higher numbers. However, when adjusted for size, Uttarakhand’s performance appears notably efficient and consistent.
Comparison with Similar and Smaller States
Uttarakhand outperforms several comparable states and UTs, such as:
- Haryana
- Gujarat
- Rajasthan
- Many Northeastern states (Tripura, Manipur, Mizoram, Meghalaya)
This indicates effective adoption of DIKSHA despite geographical challenges and a relatively smaller population.
Growth Trends: A Cautious but Stable Picture
While some states showed very high month-on-month growth (over 200%), Uttarakhand maintained stable usage without sharp decline, suggesting that DIKSHA use in the state is institutionalised rather than event-driven. This stability often reflects regular integration into teaching-learning practices rather than short-term campaigns.
What This Means for Uttarakhand
The data suggests that Uttarakhand has:
- Successfully integrated DIKSHA into school education
- Achieved steady engagement among teachers and learners
- Performed better than many states with similar demographics
With ongoing ICT training, content localisation, and initiatives like digital innovation portals, Uttarakhand is well positioned to move from usage to impact-focused digital learning.
To further strengthen its position, Uttarakhand can:
- Increase subject-wise and grade-wise DIKSHA content usage
- Promote student-led exploration on the platform
- Link DIKSHA analytics with teacher professional development programs
While larger states dominate in absolute numbers, Uttarakhand stands out for its consistent and meaningful use of DIKSHA. The state’s performance reflects focused capacity building and growing digital readiness, making it a strong example of effective digital education adoption among hill and mid-sized states.
