Workshop at SIEMAT Dehradun Helps Teachers Bring Digital Resources to Textbooks

Teachers from various schools in Uttarakhand gathered at SIEMAT in Dehradun for a workshop organized by SCERT Uttarakhand. The focus? Learning how to use QR codes to connect textbooks with digital content from Diksha, an online education platform.

Led by Professor Dr. Sugandha Sharma from Petroleum University Dehradun, the workshop aimed to equip educators with the skills to align QR codes with textbooks. This alignment allows students to access multimedia resources, making learning more engaging and interactive.

Facilitated by Faculty member Puspa Aswal from SCERT, the workshop guided participants, including teachers from DIETs and schools, in creating and aligning QR codes. S P Verma, the coordinator, provided support throughout the session.

The initiative aims to modernize education by integrating digital resources with traditional textbooks, ensuring students have access to diverse learning materials to enhance their understanding and exploration of subjects.

Speaking about the workshop, Dr. Sugandha Sharma expressed her optimism about the impact of QR code integration on educational practices, stating, "By aligning QR codes with textbooks, we are not only making learning more interactive but also empowering students to explore and engage with digital resources that complement their curriculum."

Participants lauded the initiative taken by SCERT Uttarakhand and expressed their enthusiasm about implementing their newfound knowledge in their classrooms. They emphasized the potential of QR codes to transform the learning landscape and enhance the educational experience for students across the state.
