Director ART, Bandana Garbyal graciously chaired the meeting, warmly welcoming attendees and initiating proceedings with a delightful gesture of hospitality, offering a refreshing high tea in her office.
Purpose and Objectives:

Discussion Highlights:
Mr. Nitin Desai presented the journey of Agastya International
Foundation, emphasizing their mission to spark curiosity, nurture creativity,
and instill confidence among economically disadvantaged children and teachers
in India.
Director
Bandana Garbyal led the meeting and
requested Mr. Desai to share information about TV series episodes on design
thinking, science innovation labs, and teacher training programs.
Additional
Director Ajay Nauriyal inquired
about the reach of the programs and their potential implementation in
Uttarakhand government schools.
M M Joshi suggested faculty development programs at the Agastya
campus and discussed plans to implement programs in government schools.
Mr. Desai
highlighted that most programs are of zero budget and are funded and backed by
the organization. He emphasized the importance of innovative
and creative development in school kids as outlined in NEP 2020.
Mr. Desai
shared success stories of Agastya Foundation, showcasing their mission slogan "Aah, Aha, Ha-Ha."
Officials agreed on
innovative practices and support facilitated by Navam and Agastya Foundation in
underprivileged Indian schools. The state is positively considering to initiate Innovation and Design thinking television series which will foster 21st-century skills among the learner and teacher.
- Mr. Desai offered various programs like the Welearn mobile app and a 24-episode TV series on design thinking.
- He also shared the piloting work of design thinking in a school in Tehri Garhwal, where students are performing exceptionally well.

Foundation wrapped up the discussion, noting that initiatives
from Navam Foundation could be considered, and they would share their work
happening in other 24 states.

conference organized by Agastya International Foundation in January 2024.
