The QR Code workshop held at the State Institute of Education Management and Training (SIEMAT) under the auspices of SCERT Uttarakhand came to a successful close today after an enriching five-day session.
Director
Bandana Garbyal, Director of Academic Research and
Training, set the tone for the workshop's inauguration by imparting her
blessings and encouraging words. She emphasized the importance of embracing
technology to enhance education and urged participants to strive for excellence
in their endeavors. Garbyal's inspirational message resonated with attendees,
fostering a spirit of enthusiasm and dedication as they embarked on the journey
to incorporate technology into education for the betterment of students'
learning experiences.
The primary objective of
the workshop was to integrate QR codes into the
DIKSHA portal, specifically linking them with the Energies book,
aligning with the NCERT-CIET's initiative for their textbooks. With Uttarakhand
actively involved in creating e-content for platforms like DIKSHA and PMeVidya,
the need to upgrade textbooks to incorporate QR codes became paramount, aiming
to enhance learning experiences for children, making them more interactive and
engaging.
At the valedictory
session, the Additional Director of SCERT Ajay Nauriyal addressed participants, including technical experts,
educators from DIETs, and schools. He commended the efforts made during the
workshop and offered his support for the ongoing initiatives in this direction.
Lata Arya,
a faculty member from DIET Champawat, summarized the proceedings of the five-day
workshop, highlighting key learnings and insights gained, alongside faculty
from NCERT and esteemed professors from Petroleum University, Dehradun,
including Prof. Dr. Kaushik Ghosh and Assistant
Prof. Sugandha Sharma.
Dr. Kajal,
the online training and resource person, provided orientation to educators on
aligning QR codes in textbooks, while Program
Coordinator S.P. Verma outlined the
achieved targets during the duration of the workshop, with support from IT
faculty and officials from the IT Department of SCERT.
Faculty members Pushpa Aswal and Sudhir Nautiyal played crucial roles in mentoring and assisting
participants throughout the sessions, ensuring seamless integration of QR codes
with the textbooks on DIKSHA.
The workshop concluded on
a promising note, paving the way for enhanced digital learning experiences for
students across Uttarakhand.
