SCERT Uttarakhand Hosts Workshop on Generative AI in Classroom Teaching by CoGrader

Dehradun, June 21, 2024 – The State Council of Educational Research and Training (SCERT) Uttarakhand organized a dynamic workshop and lecture series on the application of generative AI in classroom teaching. The event, held at the SCERT headquarters, was inaugurated by Joint Director Kanchan Devradi from the IT Department. Deputy Director Shailendra Amoli followed with a keynote address, highlighting the importance of integrating advanced technologies into educational frameworks.


Coordinated by Lecturer Sudhir Nautiyal from the PMeVidya division of the IT department, the workshop brought together educators and IT professionals focused on e-content creation. The central theme revolved around generative AI technologies such as ChatGPT, Quizlet, and Presentation AI, showcasing their potential to revolutionize teaching methods and curriculum development.


The Cograd group, represented by Himanshu, Saurabh, and Prashant, led the session on MEDHA, a generative AI model designed for educational purposes. Their presentation and interactive Q&A session captured the audience's attention, with active participation from teachers and faculty members. The Q&A session included insightful interactions with IT Faculty Ramesh Badoni, Research and Assessment Faculty Dr. D. P. Raturi, and Teachers Training Faculty Akhilesh Dobhal, focusing on integrating AI in teaching plans and the ethical use of AI in e-content development.


MEDHA was praised for its innovative approach to integrating AI into the school curriculum, addressing various queries from the attendees with ease. The workshop was highly engaging and interactive, reflecting the participants' keen interest in leveraging AI to enhance classroom experiences. The SCERT continues to support such initiatives, aiming to empower educators with cutting-edge tools and techniques to foster a more effective and modern learning environment.
