Dehradun, Uttarakhand – SCERT Uttarakhand has successfully launched its first-ever MOOC (Massive Open Online Course) on "Fundamentals of ICT Tools for School Teachers" aimed at empowering government school teachers with essential ICT skills. The course, with a duration of 10 hours, is open to teachers from primary to senior secondary levels across the state.
In its first week, the initiative has seen remarkable participation:
- 16,500 teachers enrolled.
- 6,000 teachers successfully completed and received certification.
This program is being run at the Vidya Samiksha Kendra, Uttarakhand, utilizing the innovative ई-सृजन BOT platform. A comprehensive dashboard is in place to track the progress of participants, linking data through UDISE codes of schools and employee IDs for real-time monitoring and transparency.
Aiming Higher : The program targets 60,000 teachers to complete this course in the current academic session. The successful completion of Level 1 is critical for launching Level 2, which will delve deeper into advanced ICT applications for classroom management and teaching strategies.
