Uttarakhand’s Manjubala Honoured with National Teacher Award 2025

Dehradun, August 25, 2025: Bringing glory to Uttarakhand, Manjubala, an inspiring teacher from Government Primary School, Chyurani, Champawat, has been selected for the prestigious National Teacher Award 2025. The Ministry of Education, Government of India, has released the official list of awardees, and Manjubala’s name proudly features among the nation’s best educators.

The award will be conferred by the President of India at a grand ceremony scheduled on September 5, 2025, at Vigyan Bhavan, New Delhi. The honor includes a silver medal, a certificate of merit, and a cash award of ₹50,000.

Manjubala’s Inspiring Work

Known for her innovative classroom practices, Manjubala has transformed teaching in her school by creatively using technology, digital tools, and community-based learning materials. Her work has made learning more engaging and accessible for children in remote hilly areas. Beyond academics, she has mobilized community support for improving school infrastructure, promoted environmental awareness, and encouraged parents’ participation in education.

Her focus on bridging the digital divide in rural schools and nurturing creativity among children has earned her immense respect among peers and the wider community.

Manjubala, teacher of GPS Chyurani in Champawat, Uttarakhand, will be awarded the National Teacher Award 2025 at Vigyan Bhavan, New Delhi on September 5, 2025 by the President of India. The honor comprises a silver medal, certificate of merit, and ₹50,000 cash prize. She has been recognized for her innovative use of digital and community resources in classrooms, promotion of inclusive learning, mobilization of community participation, environmental and social awareness campaigns, and her dedication to bridging the digital divide in rural schools.
