Dehradun, July 11, 2024 — The valedictory ceremony for the FulbrightTGC Program was held at Government Girls Inter College, Rajpur Road, Dehradun. The event marked the conclusion of a vibrant and enriching seven-day exchange program that brought together educators from the USA and India.

Bandana Garbyal, Director of Academic Research and Training, graced the occasion as the chief guest. She presented certificates and tokens of appreciation to the visiting Fulbright teachers, Corinna and Danielle Brown, in recognition of their contributions to the program.

Host Fulbright Scholar Teacher, Ramesh Badoni, provided a detailed account of the daily activities and teaching sessions that took place over the week. He highlighted the seamless integration of classroom teaching with site visits, which were meticulously planned as per the timeline and work agenda set by Fulbright and IREX, in collaboration with the host school.

Principal Premlata Baurai of GGIC Rajpur Road recently lauded the Fulbright TGC Program, highlighting its significant impact on the school's educational landscape. This program, focused on enhancing learning through gamification in Mathematics and Sciences, brought a fresh and engaging approach to the classroom, benefiting both students and teachers.

Fulbright teachers Corinna and Danielle, along with host teacher Ramesh Badoni, spearheaded the initiative. Ramesh Badoni, who teaches Physics to 12th-grade Physics students, collaborated closely with the visiting educators. His innovative methods in Physics, combined with the Fulbright teachers' expertise, created a dynamic learning environment that captivated the students' interest using dynamic virtual lab and Physical lab simultaneously in the lab session. 

Corinna, one of the Fulbright teachers, took charge of the 9th-grade Mathematics class. Her use of gamification techniques made complex mathematical concepts more accessible and enjoyable for the students. Another Fulbright teacher, Danielle, worked with 6th-grade students, bringing her unique approach to teaching Mathematics to the younger learners. Her classes were filled with interactive games and activities that made learning fun and effective.

The collaboration between Fulbright teachers and the local educators at GGIC Rajpur Road has not only enriched the students' learning experiences but also provided valuable professional development opportunities for the teachers involved. After their teaching sessions at the school, Fulbright teachers Corinna and Danielle, along with host teacher Ramesh Badoni, visited the hill station of Mussoorie. They enjoyed sightseeing, exploring the hilltop Buddha Temple, strolling down Mall Road, and visiting the Company Garden and LBSNAA. Additionally, they interacted with the local pahadi people to gain insight into their lives in the hill stations.
