Mission Karmayogi Capacity Building Unit (CBU) Core Group Meeting Held at SCERT Uttarakhand

In an important step towards strengthening capacity building and professional development within the School Education Department, a Core Group Meeting of the Capacity Building Unit (CBU) under Mission Karmayogi was organized at the SCERT Uttarakhand auditorium, Dehradun. The meeting was chaired by Bandana Garbyal, Director, Academic Research and Training (ART), SCERT Uttarakhand, and coordinated by Pankaj Sharma, Deputy Director. Senior officers and representatives from various directorates and educational institutions of the state participated in the meeting.

The meeting focused on reviewing the implementation of the Capacity Building Plan (CBP) 2026–27 and strengthening the use of the iGOT Karmayogi Platform for professional learning and skill enhancement of officers, teachers, and employees of the School Education Department. The Capacity Building Unit has been constituted to identify training needs, develop learning pathways, and ensure effective implementation of capacity-building initiatives across the department.

During the meeting, R. P. Badoni, IT Faculty, SCERT Uttarakhand, presented a detailed progress report on departmental activities related to Mission Karmayogi. He shared updates on onboarding status of personnel on the iGOT platform, participation in online courses, completion percentages, training analytics, and department-wise progress. The presentation also highlighted key achievements, challenges, and future opportunities for improving learning engagement through digital platforms.

The core group reviewed the progress made since the previous meeting and discussed strategies for increasing course participation, monitoring learning outcomes, and improving training completion rates. Special attention was given to identifying departmental training requirements and mapping them with relevant courses available on the iGOT platform.

A significant discussion was held on the launch of new online training courses for officers, teachers, and educational administrators. Members deliberated on emerging competency requirements, future learning pathways, and the development of customized training modules aligned with departmental needs. The meeting also examined training gaps and explored measures for designing targeted capacity-building programmes to address them.

The committee further discussed the use of analytics and monitoring dashboards for tracking learner progress, course completion, and departmental performance. Strategies for effective implementation of Mission Karmayogi, formation of support cells, action planning, and role allocation were also reviewed. Participants shared suggestions for enhancing the user experience of the portal and resolving technical challenges faced during course enrolment and completion.

In her concluding remarks, Bandana Garbyal emphasized the importance of continuous professional development and encouraged all departments to actively utilize the Mission Karmayogi platform for building future-ready human resources. She highlighted that technology-enabled learning and competency-based training would play a vital role in strengthening educational governance and improving service delivery across Uttarakhand.

The meeting concluded with a collective commitment to accelerate capacity-building initiatives, strengthen monitoring mechanisms, and promote a culture of lifelong learning among educational officers, teachers, and staff members under the Mission Karmayogi framework.
