150 Years of Vande Mataram and Constitution Day Celebration

 

Dehradun, 26 November 2025 — A historic day unfolded as India marked 150 years of the national song Vande Mataram alongside the commemoration of Constitution Day, adopted on 26 November 1949 and implemented on 26 January 1950. The occasion brought together the entire school education fraternity in Uttarakhand, symbolizing unity, heritage, and the spirit of democracy.

  • Representatives from secondary and elementary education clusters, SCERT, SIEMAT, and officials from the Director General’s office and Samagra Shiksha joined hands in a collective rendition of Vande Mataram.

  • The soulful choir was performed by students of Rajiv Gandhi Navodaya Vidyalaya, Dehradun, filling the hall with patriotic fervor.
